This article presents and describes examples of popular sleeve types that are available in several clothing categories in AstraFit Cabinet.
- Set-in sleeve
A set-in sleeve is a sleeve cut in which the sleeve is sewn to the armhole at the place of the natural transition of the shoulder into the arm.
Set-in sleeves can also be of non-classical cut.
Sleeves with a lowered shoulder also belong to the type of “set-in” sleeve.
Clarification !!! If the seam in the sleeve is at the level of the elbow and lower, or the side line from the waist to the seam of the sleeve has a pronounced smooth configuration, that sleeve can be safely attributed to the “one-piece” sleeve type.
The set-in sleeve and raglan sleeve, in contrast to the one-piece, have an acute angle at the place of grinding of the sleeve and bodice.
2. One-piece sleeve
The one-piece sleeve is a type of sleeve cut in which the sleeve is cut out as a single piece along with the shelf and back of the product. This cut is characterized by the complete or partial absence of an armhole line.
The lateral line from the waist to the seam of turning in a one-piece sleeve necessarily has a pronounced smooth configuration.
!!! Please note that if there is a seam in the one-piece sleeve located above the elbow, and an “acute angle” is traced at the place where the sleeve and bodice are grinded, we attribute the sleeve the “set-in” type.
3. Raglan
The Raglan sleeve is a cut of a sleeve in which the sleeve is cut out along the shoulder part of the product and sewn to the neck. A feature of such a cut is an open armhole and the absence of a shoulder seam, which is replaced by a tuck or upper seam of the sleeve.
4. Sleeveless
When the sleeve’s length and width are impossible to measure, the product’s type is “Without sleeve”.
The type of sleeveless products also include such dresses and T-shirts:
Attention !!! A variation of the sleeve - “wing” according to the Astrafit system, refers to the type of sleeve “Sleeveless”, since there is no way to measure the length and width of the sleeve.
5. One shoulder
One shoulder sleeveless.
One shoulder - with sleeve.
If the sleeve on one shoulder is a one-piece, we refer to the type as “one shoulder” - “without sleeve”.
One shoulder without sleeve. The wing on the AstraFit system is not a sleeve !!!
6. Without top
